Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Mini-me or Mini-Jet-Li?

Erin went in for a checkup yesterday and we got this ultrasound picture back...

Ninja_4

Okay, just kidding... we actually didn't get an ultrasound yesterday, we'll be getting one in about two weeks when we find out the gender. But what did happen yesterday is that Erin mentioned to the doctor how much she'd been feeling the baby move and when the doctor checked the heartbeat (150 bpm) HE felt the baby move as well... He was really surprised considering people other than the mother don't usually feel the baby until around 28 weeks (this was about 10 weeks early).

So when I got home from work Erin and I couldn't resist the opportunity to see if I could feel the baby too. I had my hand on her stomach for about 4 seconds before I felt the little nudge... very faint, but definitely there. In my immeasurable excitement I did the same thing two more times last night, the second time I couldn't feel anything, but the third try it was there again.

This is the second time a doctor has said, in a very astonished tone, how active our baby is (the first time was at the second ultra-sound). Is say rock on... be active little baby, get it all out of your system so that when you join the outside world you're as calm as can be.

Yeah right. ;-)

Awww! When my hubby felt my 2nd daughter kick for the first time, it was when he was kissing my belly and she kicked him right in the kisser! lol

I felt that my second was more active in utero than the first, yet when they were out, the second was so calm and peaceful while the first was colicky and fussy. But then once they were mobile, they were back to being the otherway around. The first, while definitely a bit stubborn and independant, didn't get into anything - she was so well behaved! The second, sweet as can be and hardly cries, but she is SO BUSY and must get into EVERYTHING! lol

They are all so different and no matter what, your's will be perfect! ;)
