Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Aeriana's Blanket

So I have to start the story properly by giving credit to my mom. When I was younger I loved to be crafty and sew and who else but my mom got me my first sewing machine. I did a few things but didn't know where else to start so a co-worker of hers ending up giving me lessons. I loved it and I haven't stopped sewing since. So as the years went by I used it all the time, but when I went to college I had to leave it at home. On a return trip a few years later I walked into “The Barn” which is a barn that was on my parent’s property that my dad changed into his art studio/guy hang out for football and poker, so needless to say not the cleanest place in the world. I walked in only to find my beautiful and clean sewing machine covered in who knows what in the middle of their barn commandeered by of all people my father. Now granted my father is an artist and crafty himself, but sewing for him... now this was a first. Being the wonderful daughter I did what any one would do… I taught my father how to sew on a sewing machine without having to keep ripping out the seams a million times. And thus I ended up sewing machine less because what kind of daughter would take her sewing machine away from her daddy. :) So about 6 months later when I was planning on getting married the first thing on my wedding registry was a new sewing machine. Now it was kinda expensive so I didn't expect any one to get it of me, but that doesn't stop a girl from wishing. When the wedding came around (cough) two months later... my wonderful mother surprised me with the sewing machine of my dreams that I didn't even know existed before that point. Now I am sure my mom realized that the sewing machine on my restisery wasn't the best and she knew I would use it for years and years, and she being the amazing person that she is, she got me the best sewing machine she could find, a Husqvarna Viking Scandinavia 300. Now this was an intense sewing machine and nothing like I had ever seen before. I jumped for joy and thanked her profusely and to top everything off my grandmother (Mimi as we call her) got me a cabinet to put it in. I was in craft heaven. So I've been married for a year plus a little bit and I've made my temple dress and a few other things since then but now I have finally started using the embroidery function on the machine and have successfully made my first baby blanket for my little Aeriana. I had to share my sewing machine story with the world and give a shot out to my Mom and say thanks for one of the coolest presents ever (besides Mimi moving in with us, but that’s another story) and for just thinking that your daughter deserved the best. I love you Mom!

It's beautiful!

I have never been able to sew well. I have tried, I just don't have that talent. But I greatly admire those who do! :)

So cute! I love my sewing machine but I wish it had an embroidery function on it. I'm so jealous.

Thanks to G'ma & G'pa Middleton (not to mention your generous Uncle Paul)I was able to get a Viking Husqvarna Platinum 755. I LOVE IT! It has a bazillion stitch options including some embroidery functions but I bought it for its quilting ability. The blanket is beautiful, she will literally be wrapped in love.
