Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Back To School

It's finally official, I'm a college student. It's been a long long time and I admit I'm a bit nervous... I'll have to dust the cobwebs off of much of my knowledge, hoping that what little I took from High School is still there. Somewhere.

Either way, I registered for my first class today; I'll begin with a Macroeconomics course on my way to an Associates. Of course I think this is perfect timing... you know, who wants to go to college right out of high school? Much better to bide your time, wait till you've got a wife and half a kid to support and THEN start school. ;-) No doubt we'll be fine, but wish me luck anyway. I'll be starting part-time online courses with Thomas Edison State College when the 12 week term begins on September 24th.

****************************************************

In related news, stock prices for Columbia Sportswear (COLM) have soared on news of a recent single order of heavy winter coats tallied in the billions. Original opinion was that this was a gross clerical error or an odd prank, possibly even an insider trading scheme; however it has been confirmed that the order is real. Speculation still abounds as to who needs this many coats, and shipping instructions for the order are fairly vague saying only "Send them down, way way down."

:-p

Why oh why would you start out with Macroecon? Did you want to hate school right from take off?! (as you can tell econ was not my favorite class in college---try a little under water basket weaving it is very relaxing)

If Hell froze over we are bound to see a lot of good things happen! :) That makes me very excited!!

Good luck in school!

The fact that I have a LOT to learn does not necessarily make me a "natural student"... but I appreciate the thought anyway.

I'm proud of you for going "back" to school! I'm living proof that you're never to old to learn...try being a 35 year old widow with 5 kids to feed and starting back to get a college degree - oh, and in the middle of that, marry a man with 5 more kids and still be able to finish that degree. I could not have done it without their support. E&A will be there for you, too.

Haha I like the frozen sign! That's awesome that you're going back to school. I love being in school! I don't think there's ever a "right time" to go back. You can always find reasons not to do it, but sometimes you just have to do it anyway :)

Congrats on school, we hadn't heard. Macroeconomics - I know a good looking professor who LOVES talking economics and would LOVE having you call whenever with questions. His brothers have called in the past having him clarify something, he is a FABULOUS teacher and makes things a lot clearer than some professors (I know I am biased but I have had others say the same thing, you will have to try out his brain yourself). I can't wait to hear more about school!

I loved hearing about school when I was out there and I'm sure happy you've made such a "goal". Hope it's not as hard as it's been for me - I wish you the best and will keep you in my prayers.
