Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Learning

Aeriana has been learning and growing so much, it still blows my mind how exciting it is to watch her grow. As I've mentioned before, we're working with Aeriana on sign language and she's done pretty well... at least enough to help her communicate her basic needs/wants to us and prevent (some, but unfortunately not all) melt-downs. Over the last few days I've seen her do two words together for the first time (though Erin has seen it before), she said "more food" and "milk please" in sign language ('please' being a relatively new development on its own that we're pretty excited about). Being the pushy father I am, I tried to get her to say "more food please" today... which promptly resulted in an Aeriana-Overload. For now we'll stick with just two words, two words is fine with me.

On top of that, she's been learning that it's fun to walk around with clothes over her head. Doesn't matter whether it's her clothes, or mine or Erin's, she just thinks it's fun. Fun for us is watching her walk around with her head covered and seeing 'walk - bump into wall - fall - laugh - stand up - repeat'.

2009-03 - Goofing Off 002

Erin has also been learning... learning how much "fun" being pregnant with a little one is. In all honesty, Erin is a champ and is doing an excellent job (as Aeriana's communication skills can attest to). We're getting more and more excited for May 11th when we get to find out the gender of Aeriana's new sibling (though we're already convinced it's a boy...)

I've also been learning too, spending some free time checking out Photoshop tutorials and playing around with some fun effects. I still have a TON to learn before I consider myself even moderately decent at Photoshopping, but I'm having a blast learning the many many things you can do with this awesome program. To test out some of my new-found knowledge, I figured I'd play around with some pictures of my sisters three adorable kids.

Those pictures look awesome. I've been looking into learning more about photoshop myself. You'll have to clue me in to what you found...
