Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Orlando

After we were married, the first time I spent the night without Erin was while on a stake youth trip to Palmyra, NY for a few days.

After she was born, the first time I spent the night away from Aeriana was for a one-night date with Erin in NYC.

The second time for both was this past week when I took my first business trip, spending a few days in beautiful Orlando. I missed both of my girls very much and was happy to be home on Saturday, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy some time by the pool, reading two books cover to cover, and generally just having fun (even the work part of the trip was enjoyable).

I also took a little time to snap some pictures, and then played around with some new photoshop tricks I've been reading up on (including a cool technique called High Dynamic Range photography). Granted I'm not about to frame it, but not bad for a relative rookie if I do say so myself...

This is the hotel's golf lodge at sunset.

Of course this was just the first of what I expect will be several business trips this year... you think the photo ops will be impressive enough to make me not miss my gorgeous wife and sweet daughter? Nah, I wouldn't bet on it.

What do you mean you are an amateur-- you are one of the best photographers I know. I LOVE the picture - it doesn't look real - looks more like a postcard or painting.
miss you
