Dad (Brett)
All around rockstar geek. Brett enjoys his job as a Clinical Data Manager (helping research medical breakthroughs at Celgene); in his time off he enjoys reading books, watching movies, and learning new tricks on his camera and in Photoshop. He absolutely adores his wife and 2 daughters.

Mom (Erin)
Complete supermom. Erin loves her job as a Youth Field Researcher (aka 'mother'); in her plentiful spare time (ha!) she enjoys sleeping, re-reading Twilight or Harry Potter, and cuddling with Brett.

Aeriana ('Wacko', 'Princess')
Hybrid Angel/Devil. Aeriana loves her mommy and daddy, each of whom she loves to test at times and pretend innocence at others. A veritable sponge, Aeriana wants to do anything she sees an adult doing; she loves babies and especially adores her little sister, taking great care of her every need.

Zoe Jean ('Stinker', 'Cutie')
Growing fast, Zoe wants to be just like her big sister. Very goal oriented, she'll find a way to get that toy she's been looking at. She loves her pacifier and can't help but snuggle up to her blanket. Zoe is as relaxed as they come, she just loves chillin' out and watching TV.

Awesome Books!

My "Year of Books" is going along quite well. So far I've read, or listened to, 33 books and am in the middle of two more. I've still got the list of books (next to Erin's) on the right, towards the bottom, and I've rated/reviewed each book as I've gone along.

I wanted to post a little something extra though for a few books that I just had to recommend to any readers out there.

First (and second) is the Hunger Games trilogy (The Hunger Games and Catching Fire) by Suzanne Collins. Absolutely incredible books, and I can't wait for book 3, Mockingjay, to come out in August and finish the trilogy off. If you haven't read these books, do so.

Next is a fascinating book called Incarceron; the start of a new series, this book introduces you to a super-high-tech prison and its inmates. As you read through this book, you'll be surprised time and time again as new twists are revealed, it's a lot of fun.

And finally is a book that I just finished reading last night, The Maze Runner. Frustratingly, this is again the start of a brand new series - which means that you'll thoroughly enjoy the book... and then you'll have to wait a while for the next one. Lame. However, the book itself is not at all lame. If I were to explain the book, I'd do so by saying that it's an interesting mixture of The Hunger Games and Incarceron, which was coincidentally the order I read these books in (though it doesn't feel at all derivative - it definitely stands on its own).

Of these three series, The Hunger Games is definitely my favorite, though the other two were excellent as well - I highly recommend them all.

If you've read these, or end up reading them later, let me know what you think... I'm always interested to hear other peoples' takes.

I'm always looking for a good book, but I can't buy them constantly. Sad. And, our library is lame-o. They don't have either of the last two you mentioned. I have read what's out of the Hunger Games trilogy and love it!

Oh my goodness, I was so mad when I finished catching fire and realized the third book wasn't out yet. I'm so excited to read the Mockingjay!

And, it was fantastic to see Erin last week. Hope you guys have a great mothers day.

I don't whether to be excited or scared we read the same books.
I've read Hunger Games, Incarceron, and started The Maze Runner, but I couldn't get into it. Is it worth picking up again?

Cora, definitely worth picking up again. It did start a little slow (I think it was necessary to get you into the mentality of Thomas - so much confusion and uncertainty) but it picks up the pace and gets good.
